Archives and Records Management Section (ARMS) is located in the Division of General Services which is part of Department of Management (see http://www.iaea.org/About/Jobs/mt.html) at the International Atomic Energy Agency. ARMS is responsible for the management of official records of the IAEA and establishes a framework for the creation and management of authentic, reliable and usable records, capable of supporting IAEA business functions and activities for as long as they are required.
ARMS is exploring the possibility of having a student or recent graduate that will work in the Section for at least three months. This arrangement would be through the Internship programme at the International Atomic Energy Agency that is awarded to persons either “studying toward a university degree or who have recently received a degree”. The purpose of the internship is:
· To provide interns with the opportunity to gain practical work experiences in line with their studies or interests, and expose them to the work of the Agency and the United Nations as a whole;
· To benefit the Agency`s programmes through the assistance of qualified students specialized in various professional fields.
We would like students and recent graduates from your institution to consider this opportunity and send their applications through the online PHF (Personal History Form) (https://recruitment.iaea.org/phf/mainpage.asp) and include two signed letters of recommendation.
For those that would be interested, please note the following key points:
Benefits and Entitlements - “For interns who do not receive full financial support from an institution, university or other source, a stipend shall be provided to assist basic subsistence costs during the internship period.”
Duration - “The duration of internships is normally not less than three months and not more than one year. However, a minimum of one month is also accepted.“
Eligibility - “In order to be eligible for the internship programme, applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have completed at least two years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of their first degree. Individuals may apply up to two years after the completion of their bachelor`s, master`s, or doctorate degree. Applications submitted after that time will not be considered.”
How To Apply - “All applicants must complete and submit an Online IAEA Personal History Form (https://recruitment.iaea.org/phf/mainpage.asp) and select "Internship" from the list of current vacancies. Additionally, all applications must include two signed letters of recommendation.”

Dear Prof Wang,
It was good meeting again in Beijing. Following our conversation about internships, I wanted to alert you to an opportunity for a current student or recent graduate from the School of Information Resource Management. We are exploring the possibility of hosting an intern but would like to have a pool of candidates to choose from before getting final approval. Do you mind sending this message to those who you believe would be interested?
Thanks very much.
